If you visit this website
Our hosting provider (Vercel) records your IP address, browser and the pages you request for security and to keep the site running. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we use analytics, it is cookie-free and aggregated.
If you book a call or email us
We keep your name, work email, organisation and what you tell us, to prepare for the conversation and follow up. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you, or the steps needed before a contract. Retained for as long as we are in contact and for twelve months after.
If you use the form on Work with us
What you type (your name, email, a link if you give one, and your message) is emailed to info@niovant.com by Resend, the email delivery service that sends it on our behalf and acts as our processor. The website itself stores nothing. We keep your message for as long as we are in contact and for twelve months after. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you.
If we contact you at work
We sometimes contact people who work at credit unions, CDFIs and other community financial institutions about the work we do. We use business contact details only: name, role, organisation, work email or phone, and a note of how we came to have them. Sources: public registers (for example the FCA Mutuals Register and Companies House), your organisation’s own website, professional networks where you have made details visible, and introductions from people who know us both. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); we have recorded a legitimate-interests assessment and you can ask for a summary. We do not use home details, personal financial information, or data about members of any institution. We review records we have not used for twelve months and remove them.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our contacting you. Reply to any email from us or write to lewis@niovant.com; we act on objections immediately and on other requests within one month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
If you are a client
Our agreements with client institutions set out how we handle their data and their members’ data, including where it is processed and who can see it. Those terms take precedence over this notice for that work.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top.
